- Drain cooling system. See STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove timing belt. Refer to BELT AND SPROCKETS-TIMING .
- Remove camshaft sprockets and rear timing belt cover. Refer to COVER(S)-TIMING BELT .
- Remove screws attaching water pump to engine. Remove pump (2). See Fig 1.
