Headlamp Unit: Installation

CAUTION: Do not touch the glass of halogen bulbs with fingers or other possibly oily surface, reduced bulb life will result.
NOTE: If installing a new headlamp unit, transfer the bulbs to the new headlamp unit.
  1. Connect wire connectors (2, 5, and 7) to the back of headlamp housing (4). See Figure.
  2. Tilt the top of the headlamp unit (1) down and then slide into headlamp unit opening. Take special care not to scratch or mar the fascia (2) or fender. Remove shop towel when installed. See Figure.
  3. Install nut(s) (1, 3, and 6) attaching headlamp housing (4). See Figure.
  4. Install fasteners attaching fender to fascia on the side being work on.
  5. Install the two fascia bolts (1) from behind the grille. See Figure.
  6. Install three fasteners to hold the lower fascia (3) to the lower radiator crossmember. See Figure.
  7. Install grille.
  8. Install splash shield (2) as necessary to access headlamp housing. See Figure.
  9. Install wheel and tire.
  10. Lower vehicle.
