Removal - Diesel

1 - DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER (DPF)

2 - DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE PORTS

3 - EXHAUST TEMPERATURE SENSORS

4 - OXYGEN SENSORS

5 - MAIN CATALYST

6 - PRE CATALYST

WARNING: The normal operating temperature of the exhaust system is very high. therefore, never work around or attempt to service any part of the exhaust system until it is cooled. Special care should be taken when working near the catalytic converter. The temperature of the converter rises to a high level after a short period of engine operation time.

Disconnect negative battery cable.
Raise vehicle on hoist.
Disconnect differential pressure ports (2).
Disconnect exhaust temperature sensors (3).

Disconnect downstream oxygen sensor connectors (4).

2 - NUTS

3 - PRE CATALYST

4 - BOLTS

5 - DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER (DPF)

6 - MAIN CATALYST

7 - BOLT

Remove exhaust from the diesel particulate filter (5).
Remove mounting bolts (4) and (7).
Remove the nuts from the down pipe (2).
Remove the catalyst assembly.
