Center Console: Removal

- Block the tire and wheels so the vehicle does not move once the vehicle parking brake lever is released.
- Remove the transmission shift knob if vehicle is equipped with a manual transmission.
- Place parking brake lever in full OFF position.
- Remove screws attaching center console (1).
- Remove rear switch panel from center console (1).
- Working through switch opening, grasp a parking brake cable or equalizer and pull back approximately 25.4 mm (1 in.).
- While holding the cable or equalizer, pull the parking brake handle to the full upright position.
- Raise console to access rear window switch and disconnect the wire connector.
- Lift console to access power outlet wire connector and disconnect.
- Lift console upward over gear selector and park brake handle.
- Remove console from vehicle.
