Driver Airbag: Installation

  1. Place the driver airbag (3) into the steering wheel (1) opening, connect the squib wires (2) to the driver airbag (3). Make airbag connection by pressing straight in on the connector. The connector should be fully seated. Feel for positive snap to assure positive connection. Connect the speed control connector (4 and 5).

  2. Hook the lower center loop first.

  3. Roll the driver airbag up and hook the upper two loops (2) to the steering wheel hooks (1).
WARNING: Do not connect the battery negative cable (Refer to ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS - DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - AIRBAG SYSTEM)  . Personal injury or death may result if the system test is not performed first.
