Diagnostic Test

  1. 1)  REPROGRAM THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE 

    Turn the ignition on.

    Using the scan tool, attempt to reprogram the Powertrain Control Module in accordance with the Service Information.

    Start the engine.

    Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature.

    Operate the accelerator pedal. (do not exceed 3500 RPM)

    With the scan tool, read DTCs.

    Does this DTC reset? 

    Yes 

    1. Replace and reprogram the Powertrain Control Module in accordance with the Service Information. (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE - PCM/ECM/SKREEM PROGRAMMING) .
    2. Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE - POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST) .

    No 

    1. Test Complete.
