Left Fuel Rail
WARNING:
No sparks, open flames or smoking. Risk of poisoning from inhaling and swallowing fuel. Risk of injury to eyes and skin from contact with fuel. Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing.
WARNING:
DO NOT EXCEED the tightening torque in order to avoid damaging the threaded connection.
CAUTION:
Inspect sealing cones at the lines. Replace as necessary. Ensure that all fuel pressure lines are exactly located in original position.
- Loosen the fuel rail mounting bolts to install lines free of stress.
- Position and install the fuel lines on the injectors and fuel rail.
- Tighten the fuel lines at the fuel injectors to 20 N.m (177 in. lbs.) + 60 degrees.
- Tighten the fuel lines at the fuel rail to 20 N.m (177 in. lbs.) + 60 degrees
- Tighten the fuel rail mounting bolts to 14 N.m (124 lbs. in.).
- Install the fuel injector sound insulators.
- Install the inlet air tube.
- Install the engine cover.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Start the engine, allow the engine to warm, turn the engine off and inspect for leaks.
