Left Exhaust Manifold

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Disconnect the upstream oxygen sensor electrical connector.
Remove the upper two nuts (3) from the exhaust manifold heat shields.
Raise and secure the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to Vehicle Quick Reference/Hoisting - Standard Procedure
Use a socket such as Snap-On YA8875 or a crow foot wrench to remove the upstream oxygen sensor from the exhaust manifold.
Support the engine and remove the engine mount. See Engine/Engine Mounting/INSULATOR, Engine Mount - Removal

Remove three bolts (1) and the engine mount bracket (2).

Remove the catalytic converter ball flange nuts (3).

Remove two bolts (4) and the upper (5) and lower (6) exhaust manifold heatshield.
Remove the exhaust manifold (7) and gasket (1).
