Diagnostic Test

  1. 1) MEASURE THE RESISTANCE OF THE DOOR UNLOCK SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT

    Turn the ignition off.

    Disconnect the BCM harness connector.

    Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.

    Measure the resistance of the Door Unlock Switch Sense circuit at the BCM harness connector.

    Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms? 

    Yes 

    1. Go to  2).

    No 

    1. Replace the Body Control Module. Refer to REMOVAL .
    2. Perform BCM VERIFICATION TEST .
  2. 2) MEASURE THE RESISTANCE OF THE DOOR UNLOCK SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT

    With the ignition off.

    Disconnect the SKREEM harness connector.

    NOTE: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.

    Measure the resistance between ground and the Door Unlock Switch Sense circuit at the SKREEM harness connector.

    Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms? 

    Yes 

    1. Repair the Door Unlock Switch Sense circuit for a short to ground.
    2. Perform BCM VERIFICATION TEST .

    No 

    1. Replace the Sentry Key Remote Entry Module. Refer to REMOVAL .
    2. Perform BCM VERIFICATION TEST .
