Diagnostic Test

1) REAR DEFOGGER SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

Turn the ignition off.

Disconnect the BCM harness connector.

Disconnect the A/C Heater Control Module harness connector.

NOTE: Check connector - Clean/repair as necessary.

Measure the resistance between ground and the Rear Defogger Switch Sense circuit.

Is the resistance below 100k ohms?

Yes
1. Repair the Rear Defogger Switch Sense circuit for a short to ground.
2. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
1. Replace the Rear Window Defogger switch. Refer to REMOVAL .
2. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
