WARNING:
Use extreme caution when engine is operating. Do not stand in direct line with fan. Do not put your hands near pulleys, belts or fan. Do not wear loose clothes.
- Clean all sealing surfaces.
- Position and install thermostat housing (2). See Figure. Tighten bolts to 9 N.m (80 lbs.in.).NOTE: Inspect condition of all clamps and hoses, replace as necessary.
- Connect coolant hoses and by-pass hose.
- Connect coolant temperature sensor electrical connector.
- Install generator, (Refer to ELECTRICAL/CHARGING/GENERATOR - INSTALLATION) .
- Close coolant drain.
- Install engine cover.
- Connect negative battery cable.
- Fill coolant system to proper level with appropriate coolant mixture, (Refer to COOLING/ENGINE/COOLANT - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
- Start engine and inspect for leaks.
