Rear Drum Brake Vehicles

NOTE: Before proceeding, (Refer to SUSPENSION/REAR - WARNING) .
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. (Refer to LUBRICATION & MAINTENANCE/HOISTING - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .

  2. Remove the wheel mounting nuts (3), then the rear tire and wheel assembly (1).

  3. Remove the brake drum retaining clips (5), then the drum (6). (Refer to BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/DRUM - REMOVAL) .
  4. Remove the dust cap (4) from the hub and bearing (7).
  5. Remove the hub nut (3), then slide the hub and bearing (7) from the spindle (10).
