Rack & Pinion Power Steering System: Column: Lever-Tilt: Removal

1. Remove upper (1) and lower (2) steering column shrouds. (Refer to STEERING/COLUMN/LOWER SHROUD - REMOVAL) .

2. Place the tilt lever in the released (downward) position.
3. Remove the spring (1) from the end of the tilt bolt.
4. Remove the lock nut (2) from the end of the tilt bolt. Make sure the tilt bolt stays in place through the steering column.
5. Remove the tilt lever (3) from the tilt bolt and steering column.
