Line-A/C Liquid: Removal

WARNING: Review safety precautions and warnings in this group before performing this procedure (Refer to HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/PLUMBING - WARNINGS)  and (Refer to HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/PLUMBING - CAUTIONS) . Failure to follow the warnings and cautions could result in possible personal injury or death.

  1. Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system, (Refer to REFRIGERANT SYSTEM RECOVERY) .
  2. Remove the nut that secures the A/C liquid line (2) to the A/C condenser (lower port) (1).
  3. Disconnect the A/C liquid line from the A/C condense and remove and discard the O-ring seal.
  4. Install plugs in, or tape over the opened liquid line fitting and the condenser outlet port.

  5. Remove the nut (2) that secures the A/C liquid line (outboard fitting) (4) to the accumulator tubes (1).
  6. Disconnect the A/C liquid line from the accumulator tubes and remove and discard the O-ring seal.
  7. Install plugs in, or tape over the opened liquid line fitting and the accumulator tube port.
  8. Remove the A/C liquid line from the engine compartment.
