Solenoid/Pressure Switch Assembly

1 - AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
  1. Disconnect the battery cables.
  2. Remove air cleaner assembly (2). See Fig 1.

  3. Remove the battery hold down clamp and remove the battery (1). See Fig 2.

  4. Remove the battery tray (1). See Fig 3.

    1 - INPUT (TURBINE) SPEED SENSOR
  5. Disconnect and remove the input speed sensor (1). See Fig 4.
  6. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines. Cap off hoses and fittings to prevent foreign matter intrusion.
  7. Disconnect the solenoid/pressure switch assembly connector.

  8. Remove the three solenoid/pressure switch assembly-to-transaxle case bolts (1). See Fig 5.

  9. Remove solenoid/pressure switch assembly (1) and gasket (2). See Fig 6.
CAUTION: Be sure to keep foreign material from entering ports in transaxle case. Erratic transaxle operation and/or failure can result.
