Shift Mechanism

1 - SHIFTER ASSEMBLY
2 - GROMMET PLATE NUT
3 - SHIFT CABLE
  1. Install shift mechanism (1) into position. Install mechanism-to-floor pan nuts (2) and torque to 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.). See Fig 1.
  2. Install gearshift cable (3) to shift mechanism (1).
  3. Adjust gearshift cable. See ADJUSTMENTS .

  4. Connect shift bezel lamp socket. Install shift bezel (1) and torque screws (2) to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.). See Fig 2.

  5. Install and secure BTSI cable to shift mechanism. See Fig 3.
  6. Adjust BTSI cable. See ADJUSTMENTS .

  7. Install center console assembly. See Fig 4.

    2 - SET SCREW
  8. Install gear shift knob, (1). See Fig 5torque set screw (2) to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.).
