Cylinder Head Cover

1 - INTAKE MANIFOLD COVER
2 - MAP SENSOR
  1. Remove intake manifold cover (1).
  2. Remove upper intake manifold. Refer to REMOVAL .
  3. Remove ignition coil and spark plug wires.

  4. Disconnect PCV (1) and make-up air (2) hoses from cylinder head cover. See Fig 2.

  5. Remove cylinder head cover bolts by reversing the order shown.
    CAUTION: When removing cylinder head cover bolts, be careful not to interchange the two (2) center bolts with the seven (7) perimeter bolts. The two (2) center bolts contain an aluminum washer between the bolt head and torque limiter for sealing purposes.
  6. Remove cylinder head cover from cylinder head.
