Hydraulic Lash Adjusters

1 - INTAKE MANIFOLD COVER
2 - MAP SENSOR
  1. Remove intake manifold cover (1).
  2. Remove upper intake manifold.
    NOTE: This procedure is for in-vehicle service with camshafts installed.
  3. Remove cylinder head cover. Refer to REMOVAL .

    NOTE: If reusing, mark each rocker arm and each hydraulic lash adjuster for reassembly in original position. Lash adjusters are serviced as an assembly.
  4. Remove rocker arm. See REMOVAL .
  5. Remove hydraulic lash adjuster. See Fig 2.
  6. Repeat removal procedure for each hydraulic lash adjuster.
