Driver Airbag

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

After a Driver Airbag has been deployed due to a collision, the following MUST  be replaced:

  1. Driver Airbag
  2. Clockspring Assembly
  3. Steering Wheel
  4. Complete Steering Column Assembly with Lower Steering Column Coupler

All other airbag and vehicle components should be closely inspected following any airbag deployment and should be replaced when visible damage is incurred.

WARNING: Do not connect the battery negative cable. See DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING . Personal injury or death may result if the system test is not performed first.
