Airbag-Knee Blocker

  1. Connect the knee blocker airbag electrical connector.

  2. Place the knee blocker airbag trim cover (1) on the lower hooks before placing into the instrument panel cavity.
  3. Install the two knee blocker airbag screws (3) and tighten to 10.5 N.m (95 in. lbs.).

  4. Reach up through the instrument panel access hole (1) and fasten the upper hook and loop retainers for the knee blocker airbag trim cover (4).
  5. Install the two trim cover screws (3), one on each side of the column.

  6. Connect the power mirror (if equipped) electrical connector and then place the instrument panel end cap into position and firmly snap into place.
  7. Install the one end cap retaining screw.
  8. Tuck the bottom of the under steering column cover into the top of the knee blocker airbag trim cover and then hook the hook and loop fasteners (1 and 2) and snap the outer edges into place.
WARNING: Do not connect the battery negative cable. See DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING . Serious or fatal injury may result if the system test is not performed first.
