Gearshift Mechanism Replacement

1 - GEARSHIFT KNOB

Pull up on gearshift knob (1) with moderate force to remove from gearshift mechanism. See Fig 1.

1 - GEARSHIFT BOOT
Remove shifter boot/bezel assembly (1) from console by lifting up at mounting ring area. See Fig 2.

1 - CENTER CONSOLE

Remove the center console assembly (1). See Fig 3. Remove rear power window switch (if equipped) and disconnect harness from console.

1 - GROMMET PLATE NUT

2 - SHIFTER

3 - CROSSOVER CABLE

4 - CLIP

Remove crossover cable retaining clip (4) and disconnect from shift lever. See Fig 4.

Remove selector cable retaining clip (2) and disconnect from shift lever. See Fig 5.

1 - SHIFTER ASSEMBLY
Remove four shifter assy. (1) to floor pan nuts and remove shifter from vehicle. See Fig 6.
