Crankshaft Position Sensor: Description

NOTE: For removal and installation procedures, refer to CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR .

The crankshaft position sensor is located at the left rear of the engine just above the starter motor. See Fig 1. This sensor is used to detect engine speed.
