Upper Intake Manifold: Non-Turbo

1 - MAKE-UP AIR HOSE

2 - PCV VALVE

Disconnect inlet air temperature sensor and make-up air hose (1) from clean air hose. See Fig 1.

2 - INLET AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR

3 - MAKE-UP AIR HOSE

Remove air cleaner housing (1) and clean air hose assembly.
Disconnect negative cable from battery.

Remove throttle and speed control cables from throttle lever and bracket.

Disconnect manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor (1). See Fig 4.

idle air control (IAC) motor (1) and throttle position sensor (TPS) (3) wiring connectors. See Fig 5.

1 - PROPORTIONAL PURGE HOSES
Disconnect proportional purge hoses (1). See Fig 6.

Disconnect brake booster hose. See Fig 7.
Disconnect PCV hose from intake manifold.

1 - INTAKE MANIFOLD SUPPORT BRACKET
Remove rear intake manifold support bracket (1). See Fig 8.
Remove upper intake manifold fasteners.
Remove upper intake manifold.

1 - INTAKE MANIFOLD MUST BE COVERED DURING SERVICE
If further service is required, cover the lower intake manifold openings to prevent foreign materials from entering the engine. See Fig 9.
