Removal - Convertible

Lower the convertible top.
Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, remove the windshield header molding (1) by releasing the eleven snap retainers from the windshield opening frame (2).
CAUTION: Replacement of the header molding retaining clips is required anytime a header molding is reinstalled. Failure to replace the snap-type retaining clips can result in poor header molding retention.
If the windshield header molding is to be reused, remove and discard the eleven snap retainers from the molding.

Remove the screw (1) that secures each A-pillar molding (2) to the windshield opening frame.
Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, remove each A-pillar molding by releasing the two snap retainers from the windshield opening frame.

Remove door sill trim plate (Refer to BODY/INTERIOR/TRIM PLATE-DOOR SILL - REMOVAL) .
Remove the two screws (2) that secure each side of the header and A-pillar weatherstrip (3) to the top of the windshield opening frame (1).
Remove the push-pin retainer (4) that secures the header and A-pillar weatherstrip to each side of the windshield opening frame.
Carefully remove the header and A-pillar weatherstrip from the header retainer, A-pillar retainers and each door opening flange.
