Interior & Exterior (1 Of 2): Hood: Hood: Removal

1. Open and support the hood.
2. Remove the fasteners that secure the silencer to the rear of the hood and disconnect the washer hose from the washer nozzle (Refer to ELECTRICAL/WIPERS/WASHERS/NOZZLE-WASHER - REMOVAL) .
3. Mark the hinge attachment locations on the hood with a grease pencil or other suitable device to provide reference marks for reinstallation.
4. Remove the upper nuts that secure the hinge (2) to the hood (1).
5. With the help of an assistant, remove the lower nuts that secure the hinge to the hood and carefully remove the hood from the vehicle.
