Diagnostic Test
- 1) TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's
Try to operate the Power Windows up and down several times.
Wait 30 seconds.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display B191D-WINDOW CONTROL CIRCUIT OVERCURRENT?
Yes

No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Check for an intermittent excessive draw on one or more window motors and using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE - BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1) , also see (STANDARD PROCEDURE - PCM/ECM/SKREEM PROGRAMMING) .
- 2) EXCESSIVE WINDOW MOTOR DRAW
Operate the power windows and observe the speed of each window.
Is the speed of one window slower than the others?
Yes
- Replace the motor and regulator that is dragging
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE - BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1) , also see (STANDARD PROCEDURE - PCM/ECM/SKREEM PROGRAMMING) .
