Diagnostic Test

  1. 1)  REPROGRAM ALL IGNITION KEYS 
    NOTE: This procedure will clear all the key information from the SKREEM. It is important to obtain all of the customer's ignition keys so they may be reprogrammed into the module.

    Turn the ignition on.

    With the scan tool, clear all the key information in the SKREEM.

    Program the all of the customer keys into the SKREEM (maximum eight).

    Did the "Maximum Number of Keys Programmed" display again? 

    Yes 

    1. Replace and program the SKREEM. (Refer to REMOVAL) and (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE - PCM/ECM/SKREEM PROGRAMMING) .
      NOTE: If this vehicle is equipped with a Steering Column Lock Module it must be replaced along with the SKREEM. (Refer to REMOVAL) .
    2. Perform SKREEM VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to SKREEM/SKIM VERIFICATION)  .

    No 

    1. Programming of the keys was successful. Test complete.
    2. Perform SKREEM VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to SKREEM/SKIM VERIFICATION)  .
