Headliner-Folding Top: Removal

  1. Position the folding convertible top to allow access to the convertible top front header.
  2. Remove the twelve screws (1) that secure the canopy cover to the front header.
  3. Remove the canopy cover adhesive tape from the front header edges and remove the cover from the header.

  4. Remove the tension from the tension cable (1) and disengage the cable from the spring (2).

  5. Remove the three clips (1) that secure the tension cable (2) to each side of the canopy cover and fold the cover back to the B-bow.

  6. Remove the nine screws that secure the headliner to the front header (1).
  7. Remove the five screws from each bow strip (5, 6 and 7).
  8. Remove the headliner attachments (elastic straps) from the convertible top frame.
  9. Remove C-post flaps from the C-post stamping (2) (two rivets per side).
  10. Remove the screws that secure the headliner to the floating bow (3).
  11. Remove the headliner extrusion profile from the backlite frame (Refer to BODY/CONVERTIBLE TOP/REAR WINDOW - REMOVAL) .
  12. Remove the five screws from the edge bow strip (4) and remove the headliner.
