1. If installing a new hinge (2), paint the hinge prior to installation.
2. Position the hinge onto the hood (1) and fender (3) and align the hinge to the previously marked locations.
3. Install the nuts that secure the hinge to the hood and fender. Tighten the nuts to 33 N.m (24 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the cowl grille screen (Refer to BODY/EXTERIOR/SCREEN-COWL GRILLE - INSTALLATION) .
5. Remove the support and verify hood alignment and operation. The hood should fit flush across the top surfaces along fenders and have even gaps aligned to 4 mm (0.160 in.) to the adjacent body panels.
