Front Seat Back Cover/Foam: Removal: Coupe
WARNING:
Before servicing the seat back cover the airbag system must be disarmed. Failure to do so may result in accidental deployment of the airbag and possible personal injury. Refer to RESTRAINTS - SERVICE INFORMATION
for service procedures.
- Remove seat from vehicle.
1 - FRONT HEADREST 2 - RELEASE BUTTON - Remove headrest (1).
1 - TRIM TOOL 2 - HEADREST ADJUSTER CAP - Remove headrest adjuster caps (2).
1 - ARMREST 2 - PLUG - Remove seat armrest plug (2).
1 - ARMREST 2 - ARMREST SCREW 3 - LUMBAR HANDLE 4 - LUMBAR HANDLE SCREW - Remove seat armrest (1) and lumbar handle (3) if equipped.
- Remove upper riser shield, if equipped.
1 - ATTACHING SCREWS 2 - FRONT SEAT BACK PANEL - Remove front seat back panel (2).
1- J-STRAPS - Disengage seat back cover J-straps (1).
1 - LOWER J-STRAPS - Disengage the lower seat cover J-straps (1).
- Vehicle with Seat Airbag and/or Heated Seat System, will need to remove front seat cushion frame.
- Remove the seat back recliner handle/fold flat handle and front seat cushion shield. Disconnect wire connectors, if equipped.
1 - FRONT INNER SEAT BELT ATTACHING SCREW 2 - SHIELD ATTACHING SCREWS - Remove front inner seat belt attaching screw (1) and inboard seat side shield.
1 - FRONT SIDE AND REAR ATTACHING SCREW 2 - FRONT SEAT CUSHION - Remove front seat cushion (2) two front side screws and rear screws (1).
- Disconnect any electrical connectors and wire ties from the seat back that are connected under the seat cushion, if equipped.
1 - SIDE AIRBAG PLASTIC COVER 2 - ATTACHING SCREW - Roll seat back cover to clear seat airbag plastic cover (1) and remove cover.
1 - SEAT BACK COVER 2 - SEAT BACK CUSHION 3 - SEAT AIRBAG ATTACHING NUTS - Remove nuts (3) attaching seat airbag to seat back frame.
- Remove seat airbag from the sleeve in the seat back cover (1).
1 - SEAT COVER 2 - HOG RINGS 3 - CUSHION - Roll seat back cover (1) upward to show hog rings (2). Cut hog rings to free cover.
- Remove front seat back from cushion and seat frame.
