VEHICLE ODOMETER FAILURE (ACTIVE) - MTC SYMPTOM CHART

TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY
1 Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII®, attempt to communicate with the Body Control Module (BCM).
Was the DRBIII® able to communicate with the Body Control Module (BCM)?
Yes --> Go To 2
No --> Refer to the COMMUNICATION category for the related symptom(s).
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1 .		 All
2 Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII®, read Body Control Module (BCM) DTCs.
Does the DRBIII® display any DTCs?
Yes --> Refer to the appropriate test for the related symptom(s).
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1 .
No --> Go To 3		 All
3 Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII® in HVAC, select Monitor Display and then select PCI Bus Messages. From the list, select "ODD MSG PRESENT."
Does the DRBIII® display: ODD MSG PRESENT: YES?
Yes --> Replace the A/C Heater Control in accordance with the Service Information.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1 .
No --> Replace and program the Body Control Module (BCM) in accordance with the Service Information.
