Vehicle Information Display (Early Build Vehicles Only)
NOTE:

NOTE:
The EVIC will not display information for any of the screens for which it did not receive the proper PCI bus data. Refer to the SYMPTOM LIST in OVERHEAD CONSOLE
for problems related to CMTC.
The EVIC provides the following CMTC display functions:
- Compass direction
- Distance to empty
- Average fuel economy
The EVIC will also display the following driver alert messages with either an amber or red priority indicator lamp:
- LOW TIRE PRESSURE (if equipped)
- HIGH TIRE PRESSURE (if equipped)
- TIRE PRESSURE UNAVAILABLE (if equipped)
- SERVICE TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEM (if equipped)
An audible chime or chimes will accompany any displayed warning messages. Chime requests with an OPEN message are dependent upon vehicle speed.
The CMTC receives the following messages from the Body Control Module (BCM):
- Verification of US/Metric status
- Dimming brightness and exterior lamp status
- Fuel Economy Average
- Distance to Empty
The CMTC receives the following messages from the Next Generation Controller (NGC):
- Trip Odometer data
- Vehicle Speed
The CMTC transmits the following message to the BCM:
- Status Request: Beep, Reset
