GPS ANTENNA DISCONNECT - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

| 1 | With the DRBIII®, erase DTCs. Cycle the ignition switch from on to off and then back to on Turn the Navigation System on and try to select a location. With the DRBIII®, read DTCs. Does the DRBIII® display GPS ANTENNA DISCONNECTED?

| 2 | Turn the ignition off. Gain access to the Navigation Unit in the rear of the vehicle. Disconnect the Antenna connector in the Navigation Unit Measure the resistance of the Antenna circuit between the center of the connector and the side tab (shield) of the harness connector Is the resistance approximately 200.0 ohms?

| 3 | Turn the ignition off. Gain access to the Navigation Unit in the rear of the vehicle. Disconnect the Antenna connector in the Navigation Unit Disconnect the Antenna Cable connector at the lower right side of the instrument panel. Measure the resistance of the Antenna circuit between the center of the connectors. Measure the resistance of the Antenna Shield circuit by back probing both connectors. Is the resistance below 2.0 ohms on both circuits?
