BACKUP LAMP OUTPUT SHORT-BCM - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

| 1 | Turn the ignition on. Engine OFF. With the DRBIII®, clear all BCM DTC's. Place the transmission in reverse. With the DRBIII®, read the DTC information. Does the DRBIII® read: Backup Lamp Output Short?

| 2 | Turn the ignition on. Engine OFF. Place the transmission in reverse. Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, check the Backup Lamp Output circuit. Does the test light illuminate brightly?

| 3 | Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Body Control Module C2 harness connector. Disconnect both rear tail lamp harness connector. Measure the resistance of the Backup Lamp Driver circuit and ground. Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
