Diagnostic Procedure

PASSENGER THERMISTOR OUT OF RANGE HIGH - MHSAPM - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY
1 With the DRBIII®, erase the DTC from Memory/Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Module.
Turn the ignition switch to the Off position then start the engine and let run for one minute.
Operate the heated seat system.
With the DRBIII® check for the same DTC to reset in the MHSAPM.
Did the same DTC reset?
  1. Yes: Go To 2
  2. No: Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .

 All
2 Disconnect the Passenger Heated Seat Cushion 4-way connector.
Turn ignition on.
Turn the Passenger Heated Seat Switch on.
Measure the voltage between the Passenger Seat Temperature Sensor 5 Volt Supply circuit and ground in the harness side connector.
Is the voltage above 5.5 volts?
  1. Yes: Go To 3
  2. No: Go To 4
 All
3 Disconnect the Passenger Heated Seat Cushion 4-way connector.
Disconnect the Memory Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Module C1 connector.
Turn ignition on.
Measure the voltage of the Passenger Seat Temperature Sensor 5 Volt Supply circuit in the cushion side connector to ground.
Is there ANY voltage on the Seat Temperature 5 Volt Supply circuit?
  1. Yes: Repair the Passenger Seat Temperature Sensor 5 Volt Supply circuit for a short to voltage.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .

  2. No: Replace the Memory Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Module

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .

4 Disconnect the Passenger Heated Seat Cushion 4-way connector.
Disconnect the Memory Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Module C1 connector.
Turn ignition on.
Measure the voltage between Passenger Seat Temperature Sensor Input circuit, in the harness side connector and body ground.
Is there any voltage on the Passenger Seat Temperature Sensor Input circuit?
  1. Yes: Repair the Passenger Seat Temperature Sensor Input circuit for a short to voltage.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .

  2. No: Replace the Passenger Seat Cushion/Element as necessary.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .
