Diagnostic Procedure

*RIGHT REAR DOOR AJAR CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY
1 With the DRBIII® in Inputs/Outputs, read the RR DOOR AJAR SW state.
Disconnect the Right Rear Door Lock Motor/Ajar Switch harness connector.
With the DRBIII® in Inputs/Outputs, read the RR DOOR AJAR SW state.
Does the Switch State change from CLOSED to OPEN?
  1. Yes: Replace the Right Rear Door Lock Motor/Ajar Switch in accordance with the Service Information.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .

  2. No: Go To 2
 All
2 Disconnect the BCM C3 harness connector.
Disconnect the Right Rear Door Lock Motor/Ajar Switch harness connector.
Using a 12-volt Test Light connected to 12-volts, check the Sense circuit.
Does the Test Light illuminate?
  1. Yes: Repair the Right Rear Door Ajar Switch Sense circuit for a short to ground.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .

  2. No: Replace the Body Control Module.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .
