Diagnostic Procedure

RADIO MODULE MESSAGE RESPONSE FAULT - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY
1 Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII®, attempt to communicate with the radio.
Was the DRBIII® able to I/D or communicate with the radio?
  1. Yes: Go To 2
  2. No: Refer to the COMMUNICATION  for the related symptom(s).

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .

2 With the DRBIII®, erase DTC's.
Cycle the ignition switch from off to on.
Reset the memory positions.
Operate the memory system.
With the DRBIII®, read DTC's.
Did this DTC reset?
  1. Yes: Replace the Radio in accordance with the Service Information.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .

  2. No: No problem found at this time. Refer to SCHEMATIC DIAGRAMS for any possible intermittent wiring problems.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .
