Diagnostic Procedure

DDM MESSAGE RESPONSE FAULT - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY
1 Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII®, attempt to communicate with the driver door module.
Was the DRBIII® able to I/D or communicate with the driver door module?
  1. Yes: Go To 2
  2. No: Refer to the COMMUNICATION  for the related symptom(s).

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .

NOTE: If any window switch related DTC's are set, perform them first before continuing with this test.
With the DRBIII®, erase DTC's.Cycle the ignition switch from off to on.Operate the window up, down, and express switches from the driver door module.With the DRBIII®, read DTC's.Did this DTC reset?
  1. Yes: Replace the Driver Door Module in accordance with the Service Information.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER-1 .

  2. No: No problem found at this time. Refer to SCHEMATIC DIAGRAMS for any possible intermittent wiring problems.
