A/C Expansion Valve: Installation

NOTE: Always install NEW O-rings when replacing the A/C expansion valve.

Install the A/C expansion valve on the A/C evaporator. Tighten the fasteners. Connect the lines to the expansion valve and tighten the retaining nut. Tighten the bolt at the receiver/drier.
Install the engine air inlet tube and the air distribution duct on vehicles equipped with 3.2L and 3.5L engine. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING.
