Monitored & Set Conditions
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Dodge Intrepid, 2002 Chrysler Intrepid, 2002 Chrysler Concorde, and 2002 Chrysler 300M. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
System is monitored with engine running, fuel level greater than 12 percent and ambient temperature 39-89°F (4-32°C). If PCM does not see the Natural Vacuum Leak Detection (NVLD) switch close during the medium/large leak test, the PCM will increase the vacuum supply to the EVAP system by increasing the flow through the EVAP Purge valve. If the switch does not close with an increase in vacuum, DTC will set. DTC is a two trip fault. NVLD Assembly may also be referred to as a leak detection pump.
