Poor Shift Quality

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Dodge Intrepid, 2002 Chrysler Intrepid, 2002 Chrysler Concorde, and 2002 Chrysler 300M. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Possible cause: aerated fluid, hydraulic pressures too low, defective engine mounts, PCM software not up to date (check for TSBs that may apply), poor oil condition, worn clutches, leaking clutch seals, low fluid level, oil filter restricted, valve body malfunction or leakage or worn or broken reaction shaft support seal rings.
