Circuit Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Dodge Intrepid, 2002 Chrysler Intrepid, 2002 Chrysler Concorde, and 2002 Chrysler 300M. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

DTC P0720 will set if an excessive change in output RPM has been detected in any gear. Transaxle will not go into limp-in mode until 3 gear ratio error events occur in a given key start. MIL will illuminate after 5 minutes of substituted operation. This allows for intermittent problems to correct themselves without opening relay. However, if a gear ratio error develops, a DTC is always set, but if condition corrects itself, transaxle will continue without requiring ignition key to be cycled off and on.
