Remove Magnet From Spare

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Chrysler 300M and 2002 Chrysler 300M. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

A magnet is used to initiate a sensor ID transmission. In the EVIC training procedure, the spare wheel is the last in the sequence. If the magnet is left on the wheel, the sensor/transmitter will continue its ID transmission. If the EVIC detects 20 transmissions from the spare wheel in 60 seconds and the vehicle speed is more than 25 MPH (40 KM/H), it will request a chime and display REMOVE MAGNET FROM SPARE for 60 seconds per ignition-on cycle.
