Removal (6-Passenger Model)

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
  2. Remove instrument panel left end cap. Remove 2 lower steering column cover retaining screws and cover. Open glove box door and release side tabs. Pull down on glove box door until glove box drops and retaining screws in upper and lower left corner of glove box bin are visible.
  3. Remove instrument panel center bezel with temperature control module, power outlet and traction control switch. Disconnect electrical connectors. Remove 4 retaining screws to chin bezel. Remove one retaining screw and one push fastener retaining floor bin.
  4. Slide Red connector position assurance tab out on ORC electrical connector. Press down on locking latch and disconnect ORC 23-pin connector. Remove 2 lower retaining screws on driver-side of ORC. Loosen top retaining screw on driver-side of ORC. Remove ORC (loosen passenger-side retaining screw if ORC cannot be removed).
