Disabling & Activating Air Bag System: Notes

WARNING: Unintentional air bag module deployment is possible. Personal injury may result. Never use memory savers when working on air bag system.
Back-up power supply maintains air bag system voltage for about 2 minutes after battery is disconnected. Unintentional air bag module deployment is possible. Personal injury may result. After disabling air bag system, wait at least 2 minutes before servicing air bag system.
CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may result. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See Computer Relearn Procedures in the Reference Information section.
