Removal & Installation (2.4L)

- Idle Air Control (IAC) motor is located on throttle body. See Figure.
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect IAC motor harness connector. Remove IAC motor retaining screws. Remove IAC motor. Ensure "O" ring is removed with IAC motor.
- To install, reverse removal procedure using NEW "O" ring. If IAC motor pintle protrudes more than 1" (25.4 mm), connect IAC motor harness connector and negative battery cable. Use scan tool to retract IAC motor pintle.
- To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten retaining screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
