Installation (2.7L)

Lightly lubricate injector "O" rings with clean engine oil. Install retaining clips on injectors. Push injectors onto fuel rail until clips are in correct position. Position fuel rail over cylinder head. Push fuel rail into place. Tighten fuel rail mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Clean upper intake manifold sealing surfaces. Gaskets may be reused if not damaged. Ensure injector wiring harnesses are in correct location and do not interfere with upper intake manifold installation. Position upper intake manifold onto lower intake manifold.
Install upper intake manifold bolts. Tighten bolts in sequence to specification. See Fig 1. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
