Removal (2.4L)

Upstream oxygen sensor (1/1 sensor) is mounted on exhaust manifold. See Figure. Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect upstream oxygen sensor harness connector. Using Socket (YA8875), remove upstream oxygen sensor from exhaust manifold.
CAUTION:
When disconnecting the oxygen sensor connector, do not pull directly on wire going into sensor.
