Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Dodge Stratus and 2002 Chrysler Sebring. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. With engine cold, partially drain cooling system below level of Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. Disconnect ECT sensor harness connector. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . Remove ECT sensor.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten ECT sensor to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Fill and bleed cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING  under COOLING SYSTEM.
