WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Dodge Intrepid, 2002 Chrysler Intrepid, 2002 Chrysler Concorde, and 2002 Chrysler 300M. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Release fuel pressure from fuel system. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect negative battery cable at remote battery terminal on passenger's side strut tower.
  2. Upper intake manifold must be removed for servicing of fuel rail and injectors. See appropriate article in ENGINES. Cover lower intake manifold to prevent foreign material from entering engine.
  3. Disconnect fuel supply line from fuel rail using proper procedure for fuel line disconnect fitting. See FUEL LINE DISCONNECT FITTINGS . Disconnect harness connectors from injectors. If the injector connectors are not labeled with their cylinder number, label connectors to identify correct cylinder.
  4. Remove fuel rail bolts and fuel rail with injectors from cylinder head. If removing injector from fuel rail, remove retaining clip from fuel rail and injector. Retaining clip is located at top of injector and fuel rail. Remove injector with "O" rings from fuel rail.
